These beauties all call Ningaloo (Nyinggulu) Reef, Western Australia home.
Nyinggulu is an absolute oasis for marine life. With the reef stretching 260 kms along the WA coastline. It is one of the most pristine fringing reefs in the world, largely due to the remoteness of its location allowing it to remain largely untouched.
These big bucket list ocean animals I have pained spark curiosity in people around the globe. Those that love the ocean, and those that have little to do with it, or just don’t know they love the ocean.. yet!
People travel from all over the world for their chance to get a glimpse of one of these guys. When they do, it ignites a great love , appreciation and passion for the ocean and the diverse life within it. Essentially acting as gateway animals, opening eyes, minds and hearts up to the incredible underwater world.
I like to use this print as a it of a bucket list, I am down to just one last animal on it to encounter in the wild- The Leopard Shark! How many have you seen?
Hang it on your wall as a reminder of your memories of encountering one or more of these animals, orrr use it as a wish list of what to see next!
