Blue Sharks are in my opinion one of the most beautifully coloured sharks in our oceans. With their bright blue hues and a hint of purple shine when the sun hits just right. I have focused on making their colouration the hero of this piece; trying to capture the flickering of sunlight and the silvery glimmer on their sleek and slender bodies.

Taking a closer look, I have included some scarring details over the sharks body. An element that I love to incorporate into my pieces (especially my sharks) as it creates an individual personality to each shark; as if this particular shark has its own story to tell of living a lifetime in our open oceans.
